Sheri Ann Farinha, who heads NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, has been described as an "unsung heroine." In this interview, she talks about growing up with a multicultural perspective, mainstreamed, and how she became an effective advocate and leader, pressing for improvements in emergency and general telecommunications access, VRS, Deaf children's language and educational rights, and the successful battle against AB 2072. The struggle for Deaf rights, and visibility, continues.
